Disclaimers
There has been a lot of chatter in the blog world about the FTC regulation that requires bloggers to be up front and honest about their affiliation with and compensation for any product endorsements they may give on their blogs.
Just to be up front and honest, Yes, I do have advertisements on my site. Yes, if you click on them, I may or may not get a referral fee for your click or purchase. However, that said; If I recommend a product, I do so because I have either 1. Used the product personally or 2. Know someone very close to me who has used the product and I feel confident in its reliability or usability.
To be on the safe side, If I put a link in any particular post with a company that I am affiliated with, I will be adding a disclaimer at the bottom of that post notifying you that I may may or may not get a referral fee or some other compensation fop your click or purchase.
I don’t want anyone out there to think I would ever endorse a product just because someone paid me to. I could never do that. As I often say, I’m Catholic, I have guilt.
