Regrets? Not really
You know; some days I wish I wasn’t a working mom.
Some days I would love to sleep in until *gasp* 9:00 am.
Today is one of those days.
I’m tired from running around every day to football practice and then catching up on chores every night until 11pm.
The weather is gorgeous out. I would LOVE to stay [...]

Sams Club
Don’t forget everyone. This weekend only, Sam’s Club is opening their doors to non members.
Details here.
I did run over there today on my lunch break.
I haven’t been in a Sam’s Club for probably 9 years (no kidding)
I was pleasantly surprised that they haven’t really changed the lay out of the store (yippee, I can still [...]

Time Management Magic
I once had someone say to me that they had “No idea how I was able to get so much done with work, parenting, volunteering, bla bla bla.”
My response to them was that once you have kids….
Procrastination is no longer an option!
I was thinking of that today while I was running an errand. (at lunch, [...]

Announcement!
Finally, that announcement that I kept promising to post.
So you all remember that I kept referring to June as my Hell Month.
Well there was more than one reason for that.
Yes, it was the end of the fiscal year.
But, it was also Hell month because
I got a new job!
No, that is not what was stinky about [...]

Staycation

I wish we were there in the Smokey Mountain National Park. Talk about relaxing!
This year we have chosen to take a staycation. This is a first for us.
Hubby and I have always worked hard to save money to take a nice vacation each year. We love to travel and both of us agree that [...]

Heartbreak
Did you hear that noise? That was my heart breaking…
Went to the grocery last night to get ready for the 4th and came home to find that my upright freezer had been open for at least a day….
EVERYTHING WAS LOST!
There wasn’t even a single thing left that even felt cold.
WAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!
Hubby and I spent about 2 [...]

I had excellent intentions today to get a superb post typed up and out to you, but as you can see, it just Ain’t happenin.

The cost of a thing is the [...]

Got insurance?
I have never particuarly thought of insurance as something frugal.
Something necessary, but a check you write grumbling because you just know you’ll never see any of that money again. At least you hope to never have to use it.
Disaster!
A dear co worker lost her home and two pets yesterday to a fire.
Thankfully her family [...]

Durned bug!
I got a long weekend and I didn’t even plan on it! Too bad I had my kids stomach bug and didn’t get to enjoy it.
I apologize for not posting anything Frugal since the middle of last week, but I was getting up close and personal with my couch among other things for most of [...]
